The Youth Future Alliance ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it when you use our website.
1) Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account information, such as name, email address, and profile details when you sign up.
- Authentication/session data needed to keep you signed in and secure your account.
- Donation details, such as donor name, donor email, donation amount, donation frequency, message, and project selection.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser details, and basic usage data needed for security and performance.
- Messages you send through contact forms or support channels.
2) How we use your information
- Provide and maintain our services.
- Process donations and track donation status.
- Communicate with you about your account, donations, and service updates.
- Improve website quality, security, and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
3) Payments and Stripe
We use Stripe to process donations. Payments are completed on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. We do not store your full card number or card security code on our servers.
We receive payment-related status information from Stripe (for example checkout completion, cancellation, and payment failure) through secure webhook events so we can update your donation record accurately.
If Stripe Connect is used for disbursement workflows, we may also store connected account identifiers required to route funds according to configured payout settings.
4) Legal basis and consent
- Performance of a service you request, such as creating an account or making a donation.
- Legitimate interests, including security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
- Legal compliance obligations.
- Consent, where consent is required by applicable law.
5) Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including record-keeping, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
6) Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted providers who help us run the service, such as hosting, authentication, database, and payment providers, under appropriate safeguards.
7) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your personal data. You may also have the right to object to processing or request data portability.
